Palma

Palma, officially known as Palma de Mallorca, is the capital and largest city in the Balearic Islands in Spain. As a coastal Mediterranean city you are never too far away from amazing seafood, divine tapas and lively nightlife, and Palma Airport is only a short fifteen-minute drive away. It’s a magical city with friendly locals and yet has a cosmopolitan feel, being a popular destination for yachting and year-round cycling because of the island’s sunny climate. With its breath-taking Cathedral of Santa Maria, Pilar and Joan Miro Museum, elegant beach clubs, boutique hotels, culture and gastronomy, it’s a place to adore. Palma is described by Condé Nast Traveller as ‘the rising star of Mallorca’ and is now recognised for its leading edge design and as a relaxed family-friendly island.

Santa Catalina

Santa Catalina is a popular, artistic area of Palma, famous for its bohemian lifestyle and busy restaurants. Calle Anibal, or Carrer d’Anníbal, is a lively little street and offers an exciting mix of chic cafes and restaurants. This artistic neighbourhood is famous for its unique blend of Scandinavian and Mallorcan style and is also full of boutique hotels, artisan bakeries and upscale bars, all of which offer a warm Palma de Mallorca welcome. The Mercat de Santa Catalina is the oldest market in Mallorca and sells everything from fresh seafood, colourful fruit and vegetables, charcuterie and local cheeses to organic delicacies, and even has tapas and sushi bars. This part of Palma is quite simply ‘foodie heaven’.
